DISK 08 / QUINE

a program whose whole output is itself, letter for letter, without ever reading its own file. half of it is a description of the program with a hole in it, and the other half fills the hole with the description

a floppy disk out of the vending machine, run by pino on the computer at the internet cafe. after Kleene's recursion theorem and every quine since; written for the cafe.
